He honed his skills busking in public spaces, earning his stripes and captivating audiences of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to packed venues like Amsterdam’s Carré Theatre. Discovered by [PIAS] at the Eurosonic festival, Docherty’s potential was evident. His exceptional songwriting, soulful vocals, and impressive guitar skills reveal influences from John Martyn, Tommy Emmanuel, and Andy McKee. Notably, the Lowlands, known as a test market, has launched singer-songwriters like Gavin James and Ben Howard. His debut single, “Just Say Aye,” releases on October 20th, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his artistic journey.
